The decrease of green spaces in the capital of the Czech Republic is alarming. Municipal district authorities sell municipally owned land to private companies bellow standard costs while there are hundreds of hectares of unused brownfields in the city which are mostly devoid of greenery. Prague parks and slopes, which function as the city’s green lungs, are all the more precious for that.
