A documentary mosaic about our Czech fellow countrymen from a little Serbian village. Ninety years ago, the Frič family started to feel a desire for change. They left the harsh life of the mountainous Banát, the southern spur of the Romanian Carpathians, and descended to the more fertile lowlands along the mighty Danube. The Gájan Czechs are the last compact group which had settled in the Serbian Banát. They do not have to toil uphill in order to get to their fields anymore, but in comparison with the Czech Gerník they have become a minority. How did this change influence the following generations throughout the decades?
