In the Niokolo Koba National Park in Senegal there lives a mysterious beauty, the biggest of the antelopes, dubbed djink-i-junka, or “the bush used to be dark”, by the local hunters. The disappearing Lord Derby eland. You can trace its footsteps with a Czech-Senegalese team, which has been fighting for its survival for 12 years.
