The 7th Life Sciences Film Festival will see twenty-seven films compete for the LSFF Grand Prix. Festival programmers selected the competition films from among more than 1300 entered films. The Czech Republic has two representatives in the competition this year – The Living Skin of Planet Earth – Geoderma made by Ladislav Mika and Ivan Stříteský and The World According to Termites by Jan Hošek.

 

27 films were selected for international competition from which the LSFF Grand Prix holder  and holders of the awards of individual faculties will be selected. With seven films in the competition, Germany is the most represented, followed by the USA with four. Czech filmmkers will be represented this year by film The Living Skin of Planet Earth – Geoderma by Ladislav Mika and Ivan Stříteský and The World According to Termites by Jan Hošek.

The 7th LSFF will screen a total of 36 films. 27 competition films and 9 films in the information screening will be shown in the CULS Auditorium. You can watch all the films from the LSFF catalogue during the film festival individually in the Study and Information Centre. All screenings are free.
